Founder of Bound Physiotherapy
Erin LaHonta, DPT
Erin founded Bound Physio to share what physical therapy can be when delivered with excellent skill, passion and compassion, teamwork and collaboration—all without the constraints of insurance. With over 10 years of experience in orthopedics and sports medicine in the Spokane area, she is a beacon of excellence in sports rehabilitation and performance optimization. As an athlete, outdoor enthusiast, and mom of young explorers she has a personal drive to help active adults and youth athletes optimize their bodies for life’s next adventure.
When not treating clients, improving the business operations or furthering her PT knowledge, Erin can be found in several different places: puttering in her vegetable garden, reading in her favorite brown chair in the living room, slinging flies from the family raft on our beautiful PNW rivers, skiing for her life to keep up with her kids on the slopes, or trying out the new IPA release at a local craft brewery with her hubby and friends. That’s maybe more than you need to know, but relationship and rapport is one of the most important parts of successful physical therapy!

Education & Mentorship Focus
As an alumnus of Gonzaga University, college basketball is second only to family to Erin. Go Zags! Erin is also a proud graduate of Regis University where she earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy, held the title of class president and was a member of the Alpha Sigma Nu honor society of Jesuit colleges. Regis University hails in Denver, Colorado, so between studies there was also plenty of time for adventure.
Education and mentorship are central to her professional values. While she primarily works with active adults, she is also deeply committed to improving the youth sports experience. This commitment inspired her to launch the Sports Performance & Leadership Summit, which provides accessible resources to help young athletes care for their long-term mental and physical health. Students and interns can often be found tagging along at Bound Physio as Erin is very active with molding the next generation of health care providers. She is a Certified Clinical Instructor and not only supervises physical therapy students in the clinic, but also oversees an adaptive rock climbing program run by student PTs at Eastern Washington University.
And when not helping others, Erin is constantly furthering her own education. She is certified in Kinesiotaping Level I & II, secured her Spinal Manipulation Endorsement, is a graduate of the Inspire Leadership Program from U-District PT, holds a Certificate in Women’s Leadership from Gonzaga University, and is certified in Functional Dry Needling Level I through EIM and on her way to get her full Endorsement in Dry Needling from the state of Washington. What should Erin learn next?!
Sports Medicine Expert
Katie Minahan, DPT
Katie helps athletes and active people understand their pain, trust their bodies again, and get back to what they love with confidence. She works with people who are tired of the healthcare maze and want a personalized plan that finally fits their real life.
She works with:
• ACL and post-op rehab
• Bone stress injuries
• Runners
• Concussions
• Return-to-sport decisions
• Persistent or confusing pain
Katie’s style is strength-forward, curious, and collaborative. She wants rehab to feel like a conversation and a puzzle, not a list of exercises or a guilt trip about PT homework. She helps people decode their pain, find their why, and build habits that fit into real life, including the version that involves work, kids, stress, and never enough hours. Her goal is to make pain feel less scary, build confidence over time, and help you feel in control of your rehab.
Katie’s not your average PT. After six knee surgeries, she knows exactly what it feels like to be stuck, confused, or told to “just rest.” She became the PT who asks the questions Google forgot to ask, translates PT jargon into human language, and treats your injury like a mystery worth solving. She works with the life you actually live and believes momentum will always beat perfection.
Outside the clinic, she is usually in a black tee and Blundstones, sneaking home another houseplant, tracking down the newest hazy IPA with her husband, or calling herself a cribbage shark, with results that vary.
If you want a PT who listens, thinks with you, keeps it real, and laughs with you along the way, Katie’s your gal.
